Getting lost in the world of media and movies

In these days statistics shows that many people watch television especial teenagers.Under the section of new in media 24 there is an article about teens who are watching too much television. In that article it is written that "finding that increased television viewing in adolescence is associated with negative academic outcomes is not surprising," said Tara Stevens, assistant professor of educational psychology and leadership at Texas Tech University". Few people read compared to watching television. I wonder what will happen in generations to come when people loose interest in reading? no one knows. Most of the viewers they tend identify themselves with some characters on television and the more they watch them the more they became like them. You find some other people thinking that they are Usher or Biance. They imitate those characters and get confused who they are. Media is one of the causes that people loose their identities. To some teenagers the things they were told are wrong at home they end-up doing the because Bell on "The days of our live" is doing it or James Bond is doing it. They admires what these fake characters do and do it in real life. its hard for them to distinguish between real and unreal. They get lost in this world of media and movies. They tend to think that those things that celebrities do are cool and they are much better. Some teenagers act like certain characters on TV because they think that they think they will get recognition like them.

Sex demons

One day I read Sis Dolly in the Drum Magazine. There was a question whereby the born again married man was saying to Sis Dolly "I think my wife has demons when she wants sex". I was not surprised because maybe he was never told that sex is good for married people. All he grew up hearing is that sex is evil, dirty and wrong and it is not good for children of God. Well! elders you should explain it to children that it is not right for single people. Sex is good for married people. We grew up told about sex as devil's thing and that it is wrong. Now I'm old enough I know it is a gift from God to married people. The wrong teachings about sex are popular to Black people and when their born again children get married they do not function to the junction. They hold back because they still have that mentality that sex is dirty and demonic. I think God want married people to share to the fullest, satisfy each other and love one another unconditional. If you are married you should know this "The husband should fulfil his marital duty to his wife, and likewise the wife to her husband. The wife's body does not belong to her alone but also to her husband. In the same way, the husband's body does not belong to him alone but also to his wife. Do not deprive each other except by mutual consent and for a time, so that you may devote yourselves to prayer. Then come together again so that Satan will not tempt you because of your lack of self-control." [I Corinthians 7:3-5] [God created sex for marriage, and it is a good thing.] Even if it means scroll on the table if it is what satisfying your husband it is good. Some young women just get married knowing the old teachings they got while they were still single. Some elders do not even take initiative to tell them before marriage what they must do to satisfy their husbands. They go to marriage and struggle alone. When they go home for a visit their mothers do not even bother asking how sex is. The mission of Pastor Khadide was good for those who went straight into the marriage without being told or taught anything by their mothers or aunts. I love what other cultures do, they take the whole night before the wedding ceremony teaching a girl how to treat a man in bed. I find that right because they know she cannot just know everything without experience or being taught. Elders must be honest sometimes so that we cannot hear the demon question again.
